Diploma Programme B.Ed. (MSVU and CITE) Eligibility for Admission Diploma Programme (JBTE Regulations) Candidates must satisfy the following minimum requirements: 5 CXC: (CSEC) Levels 1, 2, 3 (Level 3 effective June 1998); OR 5 GCE (O') at Grades A, B or C or the equivalent. English Language must be included Students reading Early Childhood or Primary Education must possess the requirements stated above, which should include a science subject such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Integrated Science, or Human and Social Biology, a Social Science subject such as History, Geography or Social Studies, in addition to a pass in Mathematics at least at CXC/CSEC Basic Proficiency grade 2 or its equivalent and any other subject. Candidates for Mature Entry Candidates over the age of 30 years seeking admission into the programme and who do not have the academic qualifications set out above but who have completed at least 5 years of teaching in one or more recognized schools must establish clear evidence of their competence in the field. Applicants will undergo assessment from a selection of processes. B.Ed. (MSVU and CITE) Diploma in Teaching - JBTE Primary or Early Childhood Education.
